As a PDF reader

Even if you have not installed Adobe Acrobat or other PDF readers on computer, you can view PDF files by Able2Extract PDF Converter. It is an excellent standalone PDF reader. No matter zooming or go to pages, it works very well.

Only one problem during our try: if opened PDF file which is made with Microsoft Office 2007, when we view it in these zoom mode: “Actual Size” or “Fit width” or “100 percent”, words will be compressed. It is so ambiguous that we can recognize no word at all, but pictures and tables in the same PDF are very clear.

In contrast, other PDF files are quite clear in all kinds of zoom modes.

Convert in a Blink and High Quality

The conversion is very fast. It only costs about 3-6 seconds to convert 3 pages of PDF.

Output Microsoft office documents include .doc, .xml, and .ppt files. This software requires .xml Excel when we process “convert to Excel special” command. These files are somewhat out of date because Microsoft Office 2007 has released since a long time ago.

One of the most highlight we appreciate is that it remains the original layout and view effects of PDF in output Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, HTML, and more.

While output Excel and text get rid of all formats of PDF. No format in text is ok; nevertheless, original tables of PDF staying in one cell disappointed us. Exactly each row of original table stays in one cell.

Even if Able2Extract provides us with the feature of “Load Custom Excel Template”, it allows us to set table columns; the frame of Excel loses and need repairs by hand. Output Excel is a pain.

There is another feature in PDF to Excel: Convert to Excel Special. It can add the converted Excel in a new sheet of specific Excel file directly. Our opinion is no matter where the output Excel files will put in putted, Able2Extract does a poor job remaining original frame and formats in output Excel

（3）Customize output images

If you need to convert PDF to images, this software allows you to select output image format. There are five formats: BMP, JPG, PNG, GIF and TIFF. You can also set the image quality for the output file format and specify the Size, either the height or width of the converted image in pixels as well.

However, you are not allowed to select both a height and a width, because the output image will always retain the scaling of the original source document.

Overall Review:Able2Extract PDF Converter is a useful PDF reader and converter. Output file formats are various and the conversion is quick. Transition is high quality, and output Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and HTMl remain original formats and view effects. It is a pity that output Excel loses original formats and frame and need repairs. Anyhow, Able2Extract PDF Converter will not waste your time if you try it, and you will get more than what you have paid.
