From the general settings tab you can adjust the background color of the viewer, click on the color button and choose the desired color and press ok. Disadvantages:

This program simply displays images and takes its sweet time in doing so. Using a basic Windows interface, Image Viewer's home page displays files as whole images and as thumbnails. During one test, the program took more than three minutes to generate thumbnails for 50 images! When we clicked on one thumbnail, Image Viewer took even more time to reload the image, and then displayed it in full-screen format with a default gray background that we weren't able to change. Edit options only include image rotation; you can present images as a slide show, or create as wallpaper, too, but that's it. With such sluggish performance and limited features, Image Viewer InDepth is far from our favorite image viewer.
