PicViewer is a perfect image viewer which integrated Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and had a Clean and easy-to-use interface, just be with the folder tree and file list view, drag&drop, context menus. The viewer has the abilities to show all images in a folder as icons and customizable print images and thumbnails with print preview. It can support most of picture formats such as BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, TGA, PSD and PCD.
Features include slide shows; file-by-file browsing; an image filename command-line parameter for access from your file manager; animated GIF support; the ability copy files to the Clipboard in BMP format; bookmarks; and modes for automatic sizing, stretching, and tiling. Version 2.6 featured an improved slide show and slide show editor.

There are some advantages:
- Different Wallpaper operations: center, stretch, tile and position modes
- Image file name as command-line parameter
- Animated GIF images and Windows animated cursors(ANI) are supported
- Powerful Bookmark functions: add your favorite folders and copy/move to them
- Full Screen mode
- GIF Inspector: explore and tune up animated GIF files
- Images can be displayed in stretch, fit and tile modes
- Icons from EXE, DLL, ICL(icon libraries) files can be viewed and extracted
- Build-in image converter
- Plug-ins: HTML and Multimedia viewers are now available
There are also disadvantages:
It did not offer more features beyond the native functionality of Windows.
Though you can save a few minutes by using PicViewer’s pull-down menus instead of Windows' right-click menu, it can’t convince you to install it. The program does not provide all the features of Picture and Fax Viewer.
For example, you are limited to saving files as BMP, JGP, and PNG--Windows includes TIFF and GIF as well. PicViewer does have some nice things about it. It displays Photoshop PSD files, both as thumbnails and in slideshow format. And you can choose to include subfolders in a slideshow as well as set the pause time. But it lacks any zooming or panning tools once you are viewing an image, and we could not figure out how to set an image as our desktop wallpaper, a feature the publisher suggests exists. Unfortunately, the lack of a Help file prevented us from researching this or any other problem.
